MIAMI, FL (April 2, 2024 ) – Little Havana Shop, Miami's inaugural boutique couture hat shop, will officially open its doors on April 28, 2024, celebrating the art of handcrafted, sustainable millinery that tells the rich stories of Miami's vibrant culture.
Founder Christine Andrade, renowned for her acclaimed Art Deco and Little Havana Tours, brings her deep understanding of local history and cultural storytelling to the world of fashion. "I'm really a storyteller with a passion for fashion," Andrade explains. "First I shared stories on tours, now I tell stories through hats." Her innovative approach transforms each hat into a narrative canvas, believing that fabric is a universal language that speaks to people and tradition.
The launch event promises to be a celebration of Miami's creative spirit, featuring:
- Hostess Iris Nieves from the Latin Diva Show
- Live entertainment by Roxy la Rusa
- Gourmet lunch by Meraki Greek Bistro
- Wine selections from Ojalá Wines
Special guests include Damayanti (Dam) Krysti, Miss Indonesia USA and models Arwala and Caro del Rio.
In keeping with her commitment to community impact, Andrade will donate all proceeds from the day's sales to Pawsitively Humane, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to reducing pet homelessness in Miami. Guest author Deb Barnes will be autographing her popular books about cats.
Little Havana Shop represents more than a retail experience – it's a celebration of Miami's cultural heritage, sustainable fashion, and community spirit. Each handcrafted hat is a testament to artistry and stories that shape the city's unique identity.
Hats will be sold primarily online and by appointment at the downtown location.
